Earlier this year, Handy Pro, now known as Angi Services, settled a case titled People of the State of California v. Handy Technologies, Inc., Case No. CGC-21-590442 (San Francisco County Superior Court). The settlement does not affect Angi Services/Handy’s continuing commitment to be a resource for Pros in the state to build their businesses. As a part of the settlement, Angi Services/Handy will be offering a one-time payment to eligible Pros in California. This payment is made solely to settle disputed claims; Angi Services/Handy has not admitted any wrongdoing and was not found at fault for any wrongdoing. You are not required to accept this payment and may opt out of it. It is Angi Services/Handy’s position that by not opting out and accepting the payment, you, your company, and agents fully release Angi Services/Handy from all claims relating to your relationship with Angi Services/Handy as an independent contractor rather than as an employee.
In order to receive your share of the settlement, please log into the Angi Services for Pros app to confirm or update your preferred payment method. You may receive your payment as soon as 2-3 weeks after confirming your payment information, although it may take longer.
